Strange Love

I been standing around walking in place I can’t feel the ground

Too close to the sun I’m beginning to melt

Been holding this grudge ever since but the damage is dealt

I once stood for love but she brought me down to hell

I’d roll up my sleeves and tighten my belt

I’m not a fool no more I’m locked in my cell

She ain’t the same, I ain’t the same, we got too comfortable I can’t tell

We came from two places in this world unable to see what I been missing still

Her laughter echoed in me like a wishing well

I stopped all conversation “excuse me” I can hear the swell

The waves like an emotion slowly rising across the three seas and Oakland

just to be in the same room “here’s a fag lets smoke em”

I look as you, take a deep breathe and I focus

Wanting my lips to be the one closer

Wanting my hips to be the one you let open

Wanting my hands to grip while your eyes are rollin’

Reflections upon my decisions to implore you/deductions and provisions to adore you

Seeing your lips move, asking questions waiting for a response daydreaming ignoring you, but it’s about you, about you, about you

Falling for something I can’t see, knowing it’s a feeling you can only believe

Other people will doubt the very existence of what I speak , Searching for eternity for what they can’t seek

Everytime I leave I’m looking for love

Everytime I leave I’m looking for fun

Everytime I leave I’m looking to run

Everytime I leave I look then i’m done
